When faced with a challenge, you have two options: accept it as it is or develop a solution yourself. Juffermans Machinebouw chose the second option and developed a modular welding robot, specifically designed for SME metal companies.
Modular welding robot for SME metal companies
Juffermans Machinebouw encountered the problem that there was no suitable modular robot for welding and handling tasks in the SME metal industry. Although modular welding robots already exist, in practice they turned out not to be applicable for companies with monthly changing orders and quantities.
The power of this robot lies in its modularity, which means that companies do not have to make a huge investment immediately. This allows them to start small and gradually make their welding and handling processes more efficient.
Start with a basic configuration
Companies start with a basic configuration, such as a fixed robot or a short track. Expanding this basic configuration is easy; for example, a C-frame can be converted into an E- or H-frame, depending on the growing production requirements. This modular welding robot is perfectly suited for small and medium-sized welding companies, especially those with varying production needs. This allows them to respond flexibly to changes in their production without being tied to one specific configuration.
Developed from own experience
The idea for this robot came from their own experiences. They noticed that it was sometimes difficult to determine which welding setup was best for their customers. By combining this experience with existing technologies, they have created a flexible solution that is easily adaptable to different production environments.
